When Detroit Pubic Television was looking for a lighting designer to create a “theatrical” for their production featuring the a cappella group “Three Men and a Tenor,” they called Spectacle Lighting Design. With a very limited budget, we were able to create stunning projections using standard theatrical equipment already installed in the Ford Performing Arts Center in Dearborn. By installing metal and high-resolution glass gobos in the venue’s fixtures, we created a number of backgrounds to complement the music being performed.
