Olympia
Entertainment, owners of the Detroit Tigers, wanted
to light the statues of famous Tiger players for their
unveiling. The obvious solution of lighting the statues
from below, however, was not acceptable to them. They
envisioned the light coming from above as if it were
the sun. With no structure between the statues and
the sky, this became a bit of a challenge. But, with
the help of Spectacle Lighting Design and a 300’ tall
construction crane that happened to still be on site,
lighting the statues from above was no problem.
