"Groove Detroit" was a charity event sponsored by the Ford family to raise money for various charities in the Detroit area. As there were a number of competing parties in the area for the Super Bowl, the Fords wanted to make their party the biggest. Spectacle Lighting Design was brought in to transform the entire Ford Conference and Event center into a massive night club using over 60 automated fixtures and over 100 conventional lights.
